Oscillates to 2 fixed positions that you can widen or narrow as well as random oscillation that you can widen or narrow. A/C powered only but can be converted to battery powered by purchasing the battery from MasterSports. We have misplaced the ten function remote control which can also be purchased. Great machine for folks with or without courts at home. Entertainment for any skill level.
